After introducing their more PG-13 subject of pornography, Greg explains some
history behind how we got to
where we are. RD is quick to point out that this issue affects both
men and
women.
The two discuss how there are often only two schools of thought about pornography: It is the unforgivable sin (which leads to shame and not real conversation), or it's celebrated as providing sexual freedom.
Greg is emphatic that it is not a sin to look at someone and be attracted sexually to them because God created us to be attracted to them. It becomes a sin when the thought turns to lust. RD adds that pornography is bad because
it makes sex transactional and takes away the covenant partnership tied to sex.
RD and Greg transition into helping listeners know how to react and what to say when someone in their life confesses to them that they watch porn. Greg specifically speaks to people getting into new relationships, and how to handle when the other person says they watch porn.
